Monday-Sunday? One shared meal each day (lunch or dinner), plus BONUS meals/snacks?
graywater disposal issues
food prep hygiene
LNT responsibilities - Foods and cooking methods that don't produce a lot of trash or greywater are *highly* preferred. (cooking pasta on the playa is a no-no! Unless it's pre-cooked and doesn't require lots of waste water.)
dinner times and what to do for latecomers/no shows
how to handle dietary restrictions - no soy, no meat, no dairy, all-vegetable-allergic.
Some other questions to address: Are we each responsible for bringing our own plates? (Yes!) Are we going to have a communal procedure for washing dishes? I vote yes, to minimize waste and as a good method to teach good playa washing habits. I've done the minimal H2O method, soap and water spray-bottles route before which works reasonably well. There's also dipping in rinse water, bleach water, rinse water method, but it produces much extra greywater. Will the cooks be responsible for cleaning all dishes or just cooking dishes and their own plates? (I vote we all clean our own plates, but someone should be around to help "teach" how to use our method efficiently)
How about some minimum cleanliness standards? i.e. don't leave your dirty, crusty dishes in the communcal cooking space for days? or something?
